The Third Temple
Proceeding towards everything in order for the building of the Third Temple
3 Articles pertaining to the coming of the Third Temple
Artists rendering of potential Third Temple
Preface to the articles below:
Never since 70 A.D. has Israel been closer to building the Third Temple than now. Over the course of the eight plus years A Crooked Path has been online I have posted as many articles about the plans and preparations, the non-stop work of The Temple Institute to study, research, craft, cultivate, breed and develop every aspect and detail of bringing about the Third Temple as soon as possible. There is an article in the archives of ACP, I do not know exactly where and the date, but it was about a year ago that The Temple Institute and the Israeli government issued a statement saying construction on the Third Temple could begin in as soon as two to three years.
While the rituals, sacrifices and activities of Judaism and the Third Temple do not apply to genuine born anew Christian believers the building of the Third Temple is vital to the fulfillment of Biblical prophecy. The Third Temple will be built. And sooner than later. And Israel will rejoice and Israel will grow stronger and more prosperous in many ways. The deserts bloom, the people prosper and are greatly blessed — yet they also grow more secular, more Western and further from God always refusing His Son, their Messiah, Jesus Christ the Lord.
Israel will foolishly come to trust the Antichrist and make a treaty with him believing him. He, the antichrist will betray Israel in short order.
These times are not in some great distant future. They are at our doorstep. Knocking. At a pivotal point in the 70th week prophecy of the prophet Daniel one of the most dramatic events in world history will take place. Accelerating the end and the return of Jesus Christ.
It is within the third Temple that:
And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.
Daniel 9:27 — King James Version
He will make a firm covenant with many for one week, but in the middle of the week he will put a stop to sacrifice and offering. And the abomination of desolation will be on a wing of the temple until the decreed destruction is poured out on the desolator.”
Daniel 9:27 — Christian Standard Bible
And from the time that the daily sacrifice shall be taken away, and the abomination that maketh desolate set up, there shall be a thousand two hundred and ninety days.
Daniel 12:11 — King James Version
The Abomination of Desolation
When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:)
Matthew 24:15 — King James Version
“So when you see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by the prophet Daniel, standing in the holy place” (let the reader understand),
Matthew 24:15 — Christian Standard Bible
Revelation 13 — English Standard Version
The First Beast
And I saw a beast rising out of the sea, with ten horns and seven heads, with ten diadems on its horns and blasphemous names on its heads. And the beast that I saw was like a leopard; its feet were like a bear’s, and its mouth was like a lion’s mouth. And to it the dragon gave his power and his throne and great authority. One of its heads seemed to have a mortal wound, but its mortal wound was healed, and the whole earth marveled as they followed the beast. And they worshiped the dragon, for he had given his authority to the beast, and they worshiped the beast, saying, “Who is like the beast, and who can fight against it?”
And the beast was given a mouth uttering haughty and blasphemous words, and it was allowed to exercise authority for forty-two months. It opened its mouth to utter blasphemies against God, blaspheming his name and his dwelling, that is, those who dwell in heaven. Also it was allowed to make war on the saints and to conquer them. And authority was given it over every tribe and people and language and nation, and all who dwell on earth will worship it, everyone whose name has not been written before the foundation of the world in the book of life of the Lamb who was slain. If anyone has an ear, let him hear:
If anyone is to be taken captive,
to captivity he goes;
if anyone is to be slain with the sword,
with the sword must he be slain.
Here is a call for the endurance and faith of the saints.
The Second Beast
Then I saw another beast rising out of the earth. It had two horns like a lamb and it spoke like a dragon. It exercises all the authority of the first beast in its presence, and makes the earth and its inhabitants worship the first beast, whose mortal wound was healed. It performs great signs, even making fire come down from heaven to earth in front of people, and by the signs that it is allowed to work in the presence of the beast it deceives those who dwell on earth, telling them to make an image for the beast that was wounded by the sword and yet lived. And it was allowed to give breath to the image of the beast, so that the image of the beast might even speak and might cause those who would not worship the image of the beast to be slain. Also it causes all, both small and great, both rich and poor, both free and slave, to be marked on the right hand or the forehead, so that no one can buy or sell unless he has the mark, that is, the name of the beast or the number of its name. This calls for wisdom: let the one who has understanding calculate the number of the beast, for it is the number of a man, and his number is 666.
The Man of Lawlessness
Now concerning the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our being gathered together to him, we ask you, brothers, not to be quickly shaken in mind or alarmed, either by a spirit or a spoken word, or a letter seeming to be from us, to the effect that the day of the Lord has come. Let no one deceive you in any way. For that day will not come, unless the rebellion comes first, and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the son of destruction, who opposes and exalts himself against every so-called god or object of worship, so that he takes his seat in the temple of God, proclaiming himself to be God. *****
2 Thessalonians 2:1-4 — English Standard Version
No one knows the day, the hour the time. No one knows the year or time that Jesus Christ shall return and woe to anyone who would dare make predictions! But we do know this as given to us in the Word of God — we are living in the last of the last days with men saying good is evil and evil is good. We are living in the days of greater and greater rebellion and confusion. Vast increases in knowledge. Technology advancing faster than any human being can keep up with. Turmoil abounds. The laws are being made lawlessness. Morals, values, ethics and the foundations are being cast aside and replaced. Relativistic philosophy and paganism increase by the day.
Divisions everywhere. Chaos. Catastrophe one upon the other. Earthquakes increasing. The whole earth groans from the weight and growth of the sin of man on this earth.
And more and more turn from God. Deny Christ. More and more false teachers arise and lead many astray day by day. False teachings abound. The ears grow itchier and itchier by the day.
Many powerful people are diligently working towards one world religion and one world governance.
And the Third Temple will be built.
Sooner than later.
And when that happens be watchful. Be prepared. Be diligent and faithful. For the hours grow shorter and the darkness is consuming the light.
When the third Temple is built then the few remaining pieces of Biblical prophecy will unfold and all Biblical prophecy be fulfilled completely.
If you do not believe? If you doubt? If you mock and deny Almighty God and His Son, the only way to salvation and eternal life? I hope and pray you will walk out of the darkness and into the Light, the Truth, the Way while God blesses you with your breath, your next heartbeat to come to the Truth. And become one of His while you can.
“For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God. And this is the judgment: the light has come into the world, and people loved the darkness rather than the light because their works were evil. For everyone who does wicked things hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his works should be exposed. But whoever does what is true comes to the light, so that it may be clearly seen that his works have been carried out in God.”
John 3:17-21 — English Standard Version (Jesus Christ the Lord speaking to Nicodemus)
If you are a genuine believer? Grow stronger in the faith. Do not lean towards your own ways, or the ways of the world, or the feel good unsound doctrines leading many astray and to their second deaths. Put on the full armor of God and KNOW WHAT IT MEANS TO DO SO! Pray. Be stedfast and diligent in Biblical prayer in the Spirit.
Search the Scriptures. Be diligent in prayer. Increase in faith and discernment. Seek the Lord all your days. Ask for the outpouring of the Holy Spirit in you and be the salt of the earth, the light of the world so others can see God, our Father in you and give Him, our Father in heaven the glory!
Do not waver. Do not fall. Keep your eyes, heart, mind and spirit on the Lord.

***** (For all those taken in by the false teaching that Jesus Christ is coming back to swoop them up prior to the coming of the Antichrist and the coming Great Tribulation, as they refer to 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18 as their sole reasoning behind such a belief, 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18 reveals nothing of the time when Jesus Christ returns. Nothing of Him coming prior to the Great Tribulation and the revealing of the Antichrist and the Antichrist being in power. It would appear those believing this false teaching have never read 2 Thessalonians, or if they have they completely deny it, do not comprehend it’s VERY CLEAR teaching that the Lord Jesus Christ does not return until the man of lawlessness, the beast, the Antichrist is revealed and in power. 2 Thessalonians 2:1-4 could not be easier to understand. Even a little child can understand the progression contained in those verses. Do not be deceived. Do not imagine we will not endure the greatest persecution and trials of any believers at any time in history. It is coming. Make ready. Within the shelter and wings and Almighty strength of the Lord!)
For First Time Since Second Temple: Golden Vessel Used In Libation Ceremony [PHOTO SPREAD]
On Thursday, a bit of the former glory of the Temple was witnessed by three hundred people who took part in the full-dress reenactment of the Sukkot water-libation ceremony.
The group set out from the Dung Gate in the Old City of Jerusalem in the early evening, making its way down the steep steps leading to the Shiloah Spring. Led by six Kohanim (Jewish men descended from Aaron the Priest) and accompanied by music, the crowd sang and danced as they passed from the archaeological remains of the ancient City of David, through an Arab village, to the spring which was used in Temple times.

The Kohanim wore vestments that were made according to Biblical standards for use in the Temple and several played long silver trumpets that had been prepared by the Temple Institute for use in the Third Temple. One Kohen carried a silver vessel used for the libation while the High Priest carried a spectacular gold vessel prepared this year for this year’s service.

“A vessel like this has not been seen since the Temples stood,” Rabbi Hillel Weiss, spokesman for the Sanhedrin and an organizer of the event, told Breaking Israel News.

The procession then climbed to a plaza overlooking the valley, where a model altar had been constructed of wood. The ceremony, carried out precisely as it was performed in the Temple, took place closer to the Temple Mount than any other Temple reenactment thus far. An equal amount of water and wine were poured into two separate containers. The two liquids then spilled out onto the altar through openings in the containers.

The reenactment altar was decorated with large branches from a willow tree to replicate how the altar in the Temple was decorated for the holiday.

In Temple times, a libation of water was made together with the pouring out of wine at the morning service on the last six days of the week-long Sukkot holiday.
Though not explicitly mandated in the Torah, the water libation is part of the oral tradition passed down from Moses. Sukkot is a joyous holiday and the water libation was the focal point of this joy. In the Temple, the ceremony would take fifteen hours with accompanying celebrations lasting all night until the Temple service began again the next morning.

“The basis of Sukkot is universal, bringing bounty to all 70 nations, as symbolized by the 70 bulls brought as sacrifices throughout the festival,” Rabbi Weiss said. “The world is facing many universal threats and coming together is vital. The Temple was a way in which the nations could come together in holiness, each nation bringing their aspect of holiness and connection with Hashem in order to avert these universal threats.”
“This must necessarily be done from a Biblical basis and from Jerusalem,” Rabbi Weiss said, citing a verse from the Prophets.
And the many peoples shall go and say: “Come, Let us go up to the Mount of Hashem, To the House of the God of Yaakov; That He may instruct us in His ways, And that we may walk in His paths.” For instruction shall come forth from Tzion, The word of Hashem from Yerushalayim. Isaiah 2:3
The United Nations imitated this by establishing Israel as one of their first acts but they have strayed since then, the most egregious act being their attacks on Jerusalem which were attempts to delay the building of the Third Temple. President Trump clearly recognizes this and has called on the UN to either fix themselves or to disband.”
At the ceremony Rabbi Azriel Ariel announced the birth of the red heifer.
“This is the beginning of a long process that will, God willing, allow us to purify all of Israel, Rabbi Ariel said. “This is not us forcing God’s hand. We are simply performing mitzvoth (Torah commandments) as given to us in the Torah.”
He explained that the actual preparation of the ashes will be in two years. Until that time, it is considered an egla (calf) by Jewish law. At the age of two, it becomes classified a para (heifer) and can be sacrificed and burned, it’s ashes used in the purification ritual.
In the meantime, the rabbis will be studying the relevant laws and the Kohanim will be preparing for the ritual.

Israeli Farmer Revives Cultivation of Biblical-Style Honey
An Israeli farmer is rediscovering the properties and uses of the rare tree that was key in producing biblical-era honey.

An Israeli farmer has cashed in by making exotic honey from a rare tree that produces frankincense — the resin once worth its weight in gold and venerated in the Bible.
Guy Erlich’s Balm of Gilead Farm is home to 1,000 threatened Boswellia sacra — the perfume-producing desert shrub mentioned in the Bible. He hopes these and his cornucopia of other medicinal plants will yield remedies for human ills.
The farm’s address at Almog is just 6 kilometers (4 miles) from the Dead Sea, where Erlich cultivates and studies threatened desert plants.
“I focus on plants that few other people in the world cultivate. That’s how I have a chance to succeed in the years to come,” he said. “These are also very important plants, and if they’re not cultivated they’ll disappear.”
Boswellia sacra is native to the deserts of northern Somalia, Yemen and Oman, and is threatened by over-harvesting of its precious resin, according to the International Union for Conservation of Nature. Mature Boswellia trees are scored to extract the resin, which hardens into lumps ranging from white to pale green in color. Top grade frankincense can sell for hundreds of dollars per kilogram (pound).
Most frankincense comes from trees tapped in the wild, rather than grown on plantations. The tree is not indigenous to the Levant, but its resin has been valued in the region for millennia as a highly prized aromatic used in medicine and rituals.
An Ingredient of the Temple’s ‘Ktoret’
It was burned as part of religious ceremonies throughout the ancient Mediterranean world, and was one of the ingredients mentioned in the Bible for the Ktoret, the incense sacrifice in the ancient Jewish Temples. The alleys around Jerusalem’s Church of the Holy Sepulcher, where many Christians believe Jesus was crucified, entombed and resurrected, are redolent of the frankincense that vendors burn to entice pilgrims to buy chunks of the yellow resin.
While his Boswellia trees are still too young to produce frankincense, Erlich struck upon honey as a possible source of revenue for his operation.
His first batch of single-source honey made from the desert plants’ tiny flowers sold for $1,000 a kilogram (nearly $500 a pound).
The amber-hued, exceptionally sweet honey has earthy undertones and a slightly astringent finish. In less than a month, Erlich says he exhausted his initial four kilogram (9 pound) stock, selling most of it to customers in the United States.
“I’ve started a waiting list for orders,” he said.
Fighting Off Boycotts
Yet politics always looms in the background. Erlich said a Palestinian-led effort to boycott goods produced in Judea and Samaria has taken a toll on his business, with a major American investor jumping ship a couple of years ago out of concern about the boycott threat.
Despite this anti-Israel sentiment, Erlich said he hopes to foster cooperation with his Palestinian neighbors and turn his farm into a research center for medicinal plants. He also is growing 10,000 Commiphora gileadensis, the fragrant biblical “Balm of Gilead” shrub and namesake of the farm.
“I would be very happy to one day see this as an international project,” he said, the biblical city of Jericho behind him in the distance. “If my plants can also serve as a catalyst to unite Israelis and Palestinians, and perhaps other neighbors around, then I am all for it,” he added.
Rediscovering Ancient Natural Remedies
Erlich and others are starting to look to the Boswellia’s medicinal properties.
Besides aromatic compounds and the hallucinogen incensyl acetate, frankincense has an anti-inflammatory compound called boswellic acid, said Jason Eslamieh, an Arizona botanist and author of several publications about the plant. The resin is a cocktail of complex organic compounds, and “it will take many, many years to really figure out what exactly is in frankincense that will be helpful,” Eslamieh said.
Clinical research has shown that boswellic acid can sometimes reduce inflammation in humans. But much remains unknown. A university in Muscat, Oman, is hosting what is touted as the first international conference about the medicinal benefits of frankincense later this month. Erlich said he doesn’t plan to attend.
Eslamieh said that growing demand for frankincense in traditional Chinese other alternative medicines has helped put “an incredible amount of stress on the natural habitat of the Boswellia.” For now, farms like Erlich’s are rare.
Boswellia trees take around 10 years to become mature enough to be tapped for their resin. Erlich’s oldest plants are still years away from that point.
In the meantime, Erlich sent the Frankincense honey to a Tel Aviv University laboratory to test what active compounds from the plant are present.
While he’s pleased to have found a profitable byproduct from the young trees, he still has a hurdle to overcome ahead of his next honey harvest.
“I’m personally a bit afraid of bees, but it looks like I’ll have to get over it,” he said.
A Red Heifer!…?
Word has come from Israel that a (tentatively) spotless red heifer has been born. IF it is the long-awaited red heifer, huge prophetic implications are in place. Of course, in order for the New Temple to be dedicated, a spotless red heifer will have to be sacrificed in Jerusalem. Such has not existed for millennia (and Jews are considered impure until this is done).
“Last Tuesday, the Temple Institute’s Red Heifer program was blessed with results; an entirely red female calf was born, paving the way for re-establishing the Temple service and marking the final stage of redemption.
“Almost three years ago the Temple Institute inaugurated its Raise a Red Heifer in Israel program. Due to laws restricting the importation of live cattle into Israel, the Temple Institute imported frozen embryos of red angus, implanting them in Israeli domestic cows. The pregnant cows were raised on cattle ranches in different locations throughout the country. The cows are giving birth this summer with several calves already having been born.
“One week after it’s birth, the newborn red heifer was certified by a board of rabbis as fulfilling all the Biblical requirements. The rabbis emphasized that the heifer could, at any time, acquire a blemish rendering it unsuitable. They will be inspecting the calf periodically to verify its condition.”
Well, this is news indeed!
The red heifer was perhaps the key element in a biblically mandated purification ritual.
You can read for yourself the description in Numbers 19.
The three main criteria for establishing THE red heifer are 1) no spot or blemish (actually, the heifer can have no more than two “non-red” hairs) 2) it hasn’t been used for labor and 3) it has never been pregnant.
The whole story is one of fascinating details. The report goes on to say that such red heifers are extremely rare and in fact, Moses prepared the first one and from that time until the destruction of the Temple, only nine heifers were prepared (the amount of ashes needed is very small).
Now here’s where it gets especially interesting. According to Jewish tradition—tradition, not Scripture—there will only be a total of 10 red heifers in history, with the tenth ushering in the Messianic Age.
I have heard for years that THE red heifer had been born, but each eventually became unsuitable for the ritual. This one might pass from the scene as well, but if it does not, then we are privileged to live in this Age in a special way.
As our dear friend Tommy Ice likes to say:
Numbers 19 — King James Version
Ashes of the Red Heifer
And the LORD spake unto Moses and unto Aaron, saying, This is the ordinance of the law which the LORD hath commanded, saying, Speak unto the children of Israel, that they bring thee a red heifer without spot, wherein is no blemish, and upon which never came yoke: And ye shall give her unto Eleazar the priest, that he may bring her forth without the camp, and one shall slay her before his face: And Eleazar the priest shall take of her blood with his finger, and sprinkle of her blood directly before the tabernacle of the congregation seven times: And one shall burn the heifer in his sight; her skin, and her flesh, and her blood, with her dung, shall he burn: And the priest shall take cedar wood, and hyssop, and scarlet, and cast it into the midst of the burning of the heifer. Then the priest shall wash his clothes, and he shall bathe his flesh in water, and afterward he shall come into the camp, and the priest shall be unclean until the even. And he that burneth her shall wash his clothes in water, and bathe his flesh in water, and shall be unclean until the even. And a man that is clean shall gather up the ashes of the heifer, and lay them up without the camp in a clean place, and it shall be kept for the congregation of the children of Israel for a water of separation: it is a purification for sin. And he that gathereth the ashes of the heifer shall wash his clothes, and be unclean until the even: and it shall be unto the children of Israel, and unto the stranger that sojourneth among them, for a statute for ever.
