“I try to be a ‘good person’.”

“I try to be a ‘good person’.”

According to whom? Your own determined standards? Judging yourself against someone else? According to the worlds viewpoint and ideologies? Or according to God and the Holy Scriptures?

Can’t be anything but one way. According to one way, one path taken.

The modern world proclaims everyone is a ‘good person’ with rare exception — and even in those cases the world then makes excuses for behaviors. A person’s “environment” wasn’t right. It’s all psychological, potty training, did the person receive “positive reinforcement” all their life? People commit murder and have excuses made for them, with some staunchly proclaiming “they’re really a good person, I don’t know why this happened!”

Really?

Ever hear anything about the true nature of men and women?

Ever read the Bible? And then believe what you’ve read?

We deceive ourselves. We are not an objective people. We do not like dealing in realities. We prefer the lie, the delusion, the illusion, the fantasy, creating our own little worlds and beliefs to suit us and then convincing ourselves all that is somehow right, law, correct, nothing wrong in that way of thinking or living.

For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;

Romans 3:23 — King James Version Holy Scripture

As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:

Romans 3:10 — King James Version Holy Scripture

And God looked upon the earth, and, behold, it was corrupt; for all flesh (1) had corrupted his way upon the earth.

(1) STRONG’S REFERENCE Number H1320— From בָּשַׂר (H1319)  Transliteration: basar Pronunciation: bä·sär’ (Key) Noun, masculine.

Genesis 6:12 — King James Version Holy Scripture

For there is not a just man upon earth, that doeth good, and sinneth not.

Ecclesiastes 7:20 — King James Version holy Scripture

They are all gone aside, they are all together become filthy: there is none that doeth good, no, not one.

Psalm 14:3 — King James Version Holy Scripture

And even a man like Bob Dylan knows there are only two possible paths, two ways and only two ways to go, and everyone has to serve somebody — serve one or the other:

“But you’re gonna have to serve somebody
Yes indeed, you’re gonna have to serve somebody
Well it may be the Devil
Or it may be the Lord
But you’re gonna have to serve somebody”

From Bob Dylan’s song “Serve Somebody”

Isn’t it something, isn’t it interesting the unbelieving in God, Jesus as God / man / Messiah Who came to earth to live, die taking the sins of all sinful men and women upon Him, to be resurrected unto eternal life and reign as Lord of lords, King of kings, those who refuse to believe the only book of truth on earth, the Holy Bible know a partial verse, taken out of context and used in error by them continually —“Do not judge…” (Matthew 7:1 partial verse) yet they make sure they judge their behaviors, their lives according to others and their own errant misguided standards?

Very interesting.

Very sad.

There are no ‘good people.’ The entire propaganda campaign orchestrated and conducted by the Evil One and his many ministers integrating that lie into the prevailing New Age doctrine adhered to by the vast majority is a lie.

Moses, King David, King Solomon, and the apostle Paul all knew the truth. given to them in their hearts and minds by the Holy Spirit working within them. They all saw and knew the truth.

Will we all learn this truth while merciful and gracious God and Jesus bless us with breath? Our beating hearts? Will we submit, obey, believe, and live according to Their word and instruction? Or will we continue to refuse to serve them thinking we’re our own persons, we don’t submit to anyone! We know better, men and women of this world know better and thus in truth then remain in bondage, enslaved, serving Satan and his ministers and lies?

Because we all are sinners. We all fall short of the glory of God. And we do all serve somebody. And it’s either this world and the devil, or it’s the Lord.

There are no inherently ‘good people.’

We can’t make or convert ourselves into good people. It isn’t in our power. Corruption cannot create incorruption. Unholy ungodly cannot create holy and godly.

Only the Holy Spirit of God working in a truly repentant individual seeking the Lord willing to submit, obey, and serve Him every day in every way can be CONVERTED into anything incorruptible, godly, or righteous. Only God can do this work. Only God and the Holy Spirit creating a new creature, a person renewed of mind and spirit.

Neither Dr. Phil, Oprah, Dr. Oz, no TV self-help psycho-babble talk show host can do it.

No false mega-church pastor a wolf in sheep’s clothing can do it.

No self-help book, or book  other than the Holy Bible, unless a book written by a true man of God which leads you to the Holy Bible can do it.

No man or woman can save anyone. Or save themselves. Or create changes within themselves that are pleasing and acceptable unto Lord unless those changes involve BELIEF IN HIS SON, JESUS CHRIST THE RISEN LORD, and acceptance, submission, belief and obedience to God our Father and His inerrant living Word.

Period.

There is nothing else. No matter what anyone in this world imagines, believes or says.

We’re all sinners. Daily. Even the saints sin daily.

We all serve somebody daily. Either the devil or the Lord.

So, how good are we all really?

You really think your judgment trumps that of God? So your judging yourself as a “good person” trumps God’s judgment of you? Really? You want to continue with that line of thinking and way of living? Really?

So, if I would say to you to bet everything you own, every possession, plus your very life itself on some wager you’d come back and certainly tell me I was crazy and no person in their right mind would do that!

Then why do you wager your eternal spirit and soul placing everything on a losing number? The world, the devil and its ways rather than pushing yourself away from that sinful table where it appears there is nothing but pleasure, and remove yourself, carry yourself to the table of the Lord our God instead?

Time to bow, submit, believe, serve and obey the Lord. While He blesses each of us with breath and a beating heart, a heart that can change by the Supernatural power of the Spirit of God.

With Whom all things are possible.

Father in heaven, Your name above all others, Your will be done I pray those floundering, wandering, those with hard hearts walking in darkness refusing to believe Your Word, Your Son, Jesus, those following and serving this world rather have their hard hearts softened and conformed to Your truth, Your Word, and come out of the darkness and into the Way, the Truth, and the Life and believe and begin to submit, obey and serve Your Son, Jesus Christ the Lord of lords, King of kings, and that each of us, sinners all, turn from this world and look heavenward, not living in fear, except in awe of You and having reverence and awe for You always, glorifying You always, praying for increased faithfulness and discernment in Your spiritual ways keeping us from falling short, Amen.
